Have you ever asked yourself I wonder who invented frozen pizza?  Frozen pizza was invented by Rose Totino of Totino’s frozen pizza.  The story of who invented frozen pizza is shaky at best but we do know that Tontinos was owned by Pillsbury who was then bought out by General Mills.  Frozen meals were popular in the 1960′s when the popularity of the T.V. dinner took off.  Families loved the freedom the experienced when watching television with their dinners in front of them on the T.V. trays.  Rose Tontino is the who invented frozen pizza but what was really created was a revolutionary way to enjoy your favorite pizza recipes quickly.

Who invented frozen pizza for any other purpose than to serve it to others quickly and conveniently.  What do you buy a frozen pizza at the store for?  For the convenience right?  Having a frozen pizza is the best when you just don’t feel like making a traditional pizza dough recipe and sauce.  What Rose Totino did, the person who invented frozen pizza was start a frozen food war.  Now there was more than just Salisbury steak and mashed potatoes to choose from on the frozen food market.  When you ask yourself who invented frozen pizza; remind yourself it’s not as important as why they did it.
