Ringer TV Show

Ringer is a new TV Show on the CW in Fall 2011 that premiered on September 13th, 2011. Sarah Michelle Gellar stars as identical twins who haven’t really been on speaking terms for 6 years. Bridget is an ex-stripper/addict who witnessed a murder and is in trouble with the mob. She appears to make amends with her wealthy sister Siobhan, then takes her place after it appeared she committed suicide. Pretending to be Siobhan may not be safer than her own life as it seems Siobhan wasn’t exactly a nice person–her own husband didn’t seem to like her, and not to mention she was having an affair with her best friend’s husband and there was also an attempt on her already after pretending to be Siobhan.

So far after just seeing the pilot,  it seems like a serial TV show which is my kind of show. With serial TV shows, you have to watch them in order to know what’s going on–the story takes place over a season (or multiple seasons.) This is in contrast to a procedural show which normally has one story line per episode and doesn’t really have a story line that stretches out over the season. I feel addicted to this show already because the acting is pretty good for a new show and I want to see what happens next. I can only hope enough people watch this show to keep it on the air.
