I went for a hike the other day. I had a really nice time. I went with my dog. I hiked up to the top of Teapot Hill. A popular hiking trail close by. It was an hour long hike mostly up hill.
It took me an hour to get to the top. I was really quite amazed with myself. I actually got to the top. I was thinking that I was kind of nuts for attempting such a hike. I had done this hike only once before about 12 years ago so wasn’t quite sure what I was getting myself into. The trail kept going up and up. Needless to say I had to stop and catch my breathe a few times. But then I found the longer I hiked the few stops I had to make and soon didn’t have to stop. I got the top and felt oh so proud of myself. On the way down I started thinking about how unprepared I was for this hike. I didn’t have anything with me except for my dog, my cell phone and a bottle of water. All these scenarios of what could happen went through my head. Well I’m pleased to say none of those things happened and I got down safely. I did however come up with a idea for making a new lens on squidoo. I made a lens on safe hiking tips. Here’s the link. http://www.squidoo.com/hiking-safely
