Unless you just crawled out from under a rock (not that any of my readers would do that) Angry Birds game must have encroached upon your awareness at some point in time. Although I, myself, don’t play it on any portable device like a Smart Phone or an Android device, it’s also available as a Facebook Application and that’s where I discovered how addicting it is.

The premise of Angry Birds video game is really simple, while the actual play becomes increasingly complex the farther into the game you go. The idea is that the green pigs stole (and I presume ate) the birds’ eggs, so now the Angry Birds are launching their own bodies at the pigs’ houses, which are made from blocks and stones. To play, you aim a giant sling shot containing one of the Angry Birds on a trajectory path that you hope will knock over the pigs’ house, and take them out. It’s not as bloody as you might imagine, though, as the green pigs simply look bruised and then disappear. I know, it doesn’t sound all that appealing nor addictive, but there’s a satisfaction that’s hard to describe when you finally knock over a pig house.

Needless to say, since the game has been downloaded millions of times, and so has literally millions of players, the array of Angry Birds themed products has exploded and doesn’t show any signs of stopping anytime soon!
